It's still not 100% right, but is better than it was. When IT are back early next year I'll get the camera mounted way-up high so that we're not looking at a distorted picture through the tank wall curvature.
They're eating quite a few of these fish a day now (it was a bit of a struggle getting them to eat them). Now that they are their growth rate will explode.
Very good visit with the squidlets this morning! I was so excited to be able to see how big they have gotten and I could swear they check out the camera! How many are left now?
Happy new year to the squid!! They've certainly grown, having devoured some 30+ fish since last week. I've just flooded the tank with more fish this morning ... and I couldn't believe the difference in size of the animals (it's hard to get an idea of scale when looking through the camera).
Here are a couple of the latest images .... (both with a fish in their arms)
Ja - there's a little camera icon there that you can grab a shot of them with. Problem is they move so fast and are in and out of frame all the time ...
I've been asking myself the same question. They grow to about a foot in length, so I'll need a much bigger tank soon.
I've no intention of terminating SQUIDCAM in the immediate future, but with cephs you never know when a catastrophe hits and we lose them. So, unless something terrible happens I think you can count on a few more months (at the very least).
Nice, wish i could keep squid, the only place with live squid that doesn't die in five mins is in Ocean Park, their squid is quite sucessful, about let's say 9 inches long ( excluding the tentcles)
