Damn i have over 40 eggs now. Is this normal? She's only been producing eggs for a less than a week!

Richard Ross's article: Keeping and Breeding the dwarf cuttlefish says 8-40 is normal. Very cool. I cant wait to see some Macro photos of eggs once you can see the little guys inside.

Well, we are not entirely sure what "normal" is with this species, Thales has the most experience, but my guess is that females can lay more than 40.

More mating in front of the eggs. A little over exposed but its the best i could do on short notice. I'll be in hawaii for the next week so hopefully all will be well when i return.

Interesting that they mate near the egg laying spot but that the female does nothing to tend them. Perhaps it is to guard her "spot" so another female will have to find her "own" place.

She stays by them about 40% of the time (within a few centimeters). But as for tending, no. She doesnt seem to do anything to assist them in development.
