    Octopus judge distance by bobbing their heads up and down to obtain greater parallax. This female Abaculas aculeatus spends much of her time hiding behind a piece of rubble, but when someone comes into the room, she immediately starts to bob.

    I always wondered why they bobbed. Very interesting, thanks :smile:

    I was feeding a GPO in oregon and it did the same thing. That is very interesting. Thank You. Did you discover this?:oshea:
