Sedna is SO happy that her daughter is ok and this is not in the "Positive Vibes" thread!

Yesterday Elise turned 14. We were downtown at the Conservatory and she began getting a migraine headache, which is normal for her. Within 10 minutes of the usual dizziness and headache, her whole right side went numb and she had speech aphasia so severe that her words made no sense. Took her straight to the E.R. at Children's Hosp.

After 7 hrs and IV meds, she was fine and we got to come home, where she slept for the rest of the night. No cake, no sleep over, but the Neuro staff did sing to her... We will have a do-over next week.

I hope Elise is fully recovered. Was hydration part of the problem or were they able to diagnose what brought on the problem?

It was just a straight up migraine- we have a long family history of them. They seem to come along with the monthly cycle...

Migraines are so cruel..... my friend suffers from them and it looks like they may have found the reason for hers and it may be preventable, I hope they are able to do similar for Elsie.
