Can you use empty water bottles to float net breeders instead of using sution cups? I don't wan't my cuttlefish babies to be effected by a lower water level through evaporation.

Oh - and if you have having enough evaporation to lower your water level enough that you are worried about the cuttles, I would be more worried about salinity changes.

My breeder net is held on the side of the tank by aluminum strips that you bend to fit tight.
The aluminum never touches the water.
