Just sharing my latest beady bits. I'm specially proud of the squid ones!
Nice stuff, Jean. The squid is indeed especially cool. How much labour is required to make these things?
Awesome!! Those are very cool.
Very nice Jean!!! Love the squid and the seahorse!
How bout selling here too???
Wow! those are look real good, how many beads did it take to make the squid?
Nice beadwork, Jean, and of course, the squid is my favorite!
very nice.... althought i have to admit i misread the title of the thread initially... you can imagine my surpise when i saw beaded cephs instead of bReaded cephs.....
Made the same mistake myself. I blame starvation.
:( Aw you poor little things
I swear, I read it as beaRded sea critters!
GIS (Google Image Search) for bearded fish:
Sciæna Cirrosa - The Bearded Sciæna
That fish is 8) .
You guys need glasses don't you, or at least stronger ones for those who already have them. Anyone mind tellin me how ta pronounce this: Sciæna ?
I love the squid, but what are the red and black ones supposed to be?
Is the black one a ninja? :)
how do you pronounce Aegis?
I'd say SAI - ana and ee - jis. Luckily, these words don't figure prominently in my everyday conversation, whew! What ceph names include æ?
I pronounce it as a long A sound....
Thanks for the nice comments all.
The squid contains aound 100 beads each earring and they take about an hour to make a pair (all hand stitched you understand!).
The red ones are filamentous red algae (specially designed for the botanist on the aq staff..............now she wants kelp :o ) the "black" ones (actually a VERY dark purple :D ) are the first attempt at an octi the design needs reworking!!!!!!!!!!!!
I may decide to sell on Tonmo, but at the moment i'm working at three jobs plus trying to write papers so it could be a while happening!
Separate names with a comma.
