Thanks Tonmo for yet another collaboration! My co-authors ended up taking care of a Wunderpus "Wawasan" (= Insight in Indonesian), and knowing that her eggs weren't going to be able to make it, they wanted at least for us to learn as much as we could from them. Hence this publication. Thanks to all involved!

take care,
Crissy

Crissy,
Do the finger appendages disappear when they become adults or is there something still at the tips of the arms?

Yeah- it worked out great. They contacted me through Tonmo, and we went from there. And it was while working on this paper that the idea for the Wunderpus photo ID paper came up. I wanted to see if any paralarval markings corresponded with adult markings and viola- couldn't find a single representative of adult markings because they were all different.
