Collecting fossils can be alot of fun (or not)

Camp was great until last Saturday, then the fossils all got covered with some white stuff. Still found a large ammonoid to keep the spirits up. Taking down the tent on Monday morning to move, I found out I had been sleeping with a little buddy, I'm just glad it decided to snuggle up between the tent and the ground-cloth instead of somewhere inside. :biggrin2:

The next camp, a few more trees and higher altitude.

a pic of Dawn McShinsky, a Masters student at the U of U who came out to help find fossils.

and a flock of turkeys that strolled thru camp every day (I was sure I had a better pic).

with permission, the other members of the crew:

Dr. Hugo Bucher, Dr. Arnaud Brayard and Jim Jenks.

Dr. Dan Stephen came out for a few days also, however being consumed by a new found fault I missed taking a photo.

and a view of one of the outcrops.
