I don't think I could get my tank down to 62-63F even in the winter as I struggle to keep it below 70 in the summer. I tried a "rescue" of a pair of Korean animals from the Asian market last year and one lived for about a week but I suspect the tank was not cold enough to sustain it even if it successfully recovered from the handling. I do look from time to time for something interesting to put in the tank that now only has abalone and a cucumber (both Asian market rescues that have survived well but I would likely lose the abalone if I tried an octo ). I don't want to convert it back to a warm water tank though at it is too hard to clean
