Where do I begin?

my name is Marc and I have been interested in keeping an octopus as a pet. I currently keep chameleons and have done great so far. But as far as sea creatures go, I haven't kept fish since I was 8. I was able to raise healthy chameleons because of a chameleon forum I found. Now I'm hoping to do the same from finding info from this forum. But there seems to be a ton of information on here and I am overwhelmed with reference. Can somebody point me in the right direction? All I want to know right now are the basics:

- Types of pet octopuses
- Basic set up requirements
- life span
- Basic Husbandry

If someone can post some useful links, that would be great too. Meanwhile, I will be spending much time on here reading through old threads and not posting much. Thanks.
