Hi all

I got an email asking on a beach find of
Tremoctopus v. violaceus

Is this correct?

Dear Dr. Gross,

This specimen washed up in Delray Beach, Florida 2 weeks ago. I was wondering if you would be able to identify it for me. A friend has put together a website of my photos and of videos taken in the area.

Please contact me with any questions.

Best Regards,

The second picture does look a lot like Tremoctopus to me. Steve or one of the other taxonomist types can probably ID it for certain.
