Heres the Haugia, before when I'd started it and found it wasn't going to be as easy as I'd thought and after when someone who knew what they were doing had had a go.
Another trip to Ravenscar, another ammonite. A Grammoceras thourense found with just a waterworn section showing on the nodule. 4 hours with the airpen and a grinder et voila! Not bad - shame about the waterworn bit though. The body chamber was very crushed so I took it off for aesthetic reasons. Would have been a fairly sizeable example for this species had it come out intact.
