Ok so what are the KEY items that you MUST have to have a pet Octopus?

Is this right:

Tank
R/O Water
Salt
Hydrometer
Thermometer
Protien Skimmer
Filter
Live Rock
Live Sand

Anything else?
I just need the KEY items.

ThanX!

As far as I know (which isn't much) I don't believe live sand is necessary if you have live rock.

I also believe a test kit would be necessary unless you are going to bring samples to your LFS regularly.

Not even 2 cents worth of advice... but its the best I got!

My sump came together with my wet/dry (trickle) filter, maybe that's why it's not on the list.

Also, you will need test kits for pH, nitrates, nitrites and ammonia. You can have the tests done at your LFS, but that's awkward because you'll need to run then quite often.

A powerhead pump to add oxygen to the tank is not a bad idea, either.
