    Hello all,

I'm looking for a relativly small octopus and my view comes to o. marginatus. Does anyone of you have experiences with this animal.

Which tanksize is required for it?

    Tank you

    O. marginatus has rarely been kept in captivity. Thales is the only person I know who has.

Given their size, muck substrate preference and propensity to roam, I would want at least a 100g tank with the more substrate area, the better.

    Hello Roy,

thanks for your response. Mhh that seems to be not the octo i'm looking for. Are there any species can kept in smaler tanks, 40-50g for example? Except of the blue ring, this guy is not so big, but I want to let him out of my choise at first.

I've had good luck with Abdopus in a 50 gal.
