Red Lights

Our Radio Shack has already gone. It was not much to begin with and won't be missed but Neal needed a soldering iron and solder the other day and discovered its absence. Ended up having to order on-line but our store was so bad it might not have had what he needed anyway.

Their parent company (no longer Tandy but I fail to remember the name) bought Marineland several years ago. I wonder how well that division is doing.

I installed one of these and it works great. It "remembers" the setting so I do keep it on the timer. I have it above the tank and facing up under the canopy so it reflects off of the T5 reflectors that I have. This works much better than facing down and provides better coverage.

I am only using 2 of my 6 T5s for 12 hours a day.

I’ve been using FluvalSmart Aquasky lighting and I really like it. I can set what time I want “sundown” to start and for how long, and I can custom set the different colors. This is the tank at night at 1% red lighting and nothing else.
