I'm looking into which substrate i want to get for my tank and i have a question. Ive heard that you want a fairly fine substrate so there is no chance of a sharp bit hurting the octopus. So i was curious. Anyone have any experience or opinions about a fine volcanic substrate?

I've never encountered anyone using fine volcanic substrate. Aragonite sand has the advantag of helping keep the pH stable, and that's what we've been recommending.
