At the beginning of Homer the Great they go to an aquarium and an octo is seen in a small bag in storage. Later I remember seeing a squid.

i quasi-rewatched Homer the Great (Stonecutter episode) but didnt see an aquarium or cephs... but i didnt watch too closely...

what you described sounds like the beginning of "break my wife, please" when they go to aquarium, an octo is in a bag, the animals jump bart (including an octo), and a squid is on a poster in the doctors office....

i updated the list... put the springfield files in there... where kang or kodos shows up almost as a true octopod... it looks like he has 7 arms....

also saw another sighting in an already mentioned episode.. in itchy scratchy and poochie show, where a 'gangsta octopus' has already been mentioned, one of the cartoonists is were a shirt that has a squid on it...

on the commentary for 'lesser of two evils' on the season two dvd (sorry, havent got s3 yet) David Cohen refers to a character a 'gangsta rapping squid lady' when the she (also appears as a nurse to zoidberg in 'War is the H Word') is clearly some sort of jellyfish, much to Clem's delight

this is odd since in the commentary for 'deep south,' he points out a leafy sea dragon, a coelacanth and mentions that one of his parents is/was a marine biologist.....

Also, after updating, it seems Futurama has hit one third Saturation....

In "The Fat and the Furriest" (Homer goes to a dump and fights a bear) Lisa trys on a suit that is a country octopus.

in "wandering juvie" the sea captain is hancuffed to an octo....

he tells him to "keep your inkhole closed about this...."

WOOHOO! I just spotted an octo! In "The Wandering Juvie" the new episode for this week an octo and the Captain are handcuffed together and waiting in line for the blacksmith.
