Octopus laying eggs at lfs

I was at my lfs looking for a mantis shrimp a couple of months ago before i found this site. I found a small octpus pale white and it was laying eggs while clinged upside down to a Live rock. The process was amazing, I was standing there for a while before some guy came up to me and said "We're closing sir."
It was awesome except for the little girl next to me who kept asking "What is it doing?"
