Do you see any indication that there are more than usual this year? The article was more than a little vague.

Nah! There were no more or less than any other year, but the die off was later than usual because the cold snap was later. There is a correlation between frost and the die off. Interesting that they contacted Prof Jillet, he's a plankton biologist!!! Although he has IMMENSE stores of knowledge and was one of my very favourite teachers.
