Octopus Causes Santa Monica Aquarium Flooding

    I heard about that. I believe it was a bimac. Makes me a little worried having a velcro lid.

    Yes, it was a bimac. And, like most octopuses, they are very strong.

    I used many strips of duct tape (renewed frequently and a heavy brick to ensure that my bimac did not escape.

    i did a water change and shiva made a real break for it, my velcro lid held though... for now.

    Something I had thought about was using a metal screen lid intended for a reptile cage, and then put on some lid clips. Theyre aluminum, and suprisingly strong. Its a lot less work than velcro, thats for sure.
