Yes, it was a bimac. And, like most octopuses, they are very strong.

I used many strips of duct tape (renewed frequently and a heavy brick to ensure that my bimac did not escape.

Something I had thought about was using a metal screen lid intended for a reptile cage, and then put on some lid clips. Theyre aluminum, and suprisingly strong. Its a lot less work than velcro, thats for sure.
