It was cool to see he (she?) could mimic the green and purple shades of the rock. The only reason I saw the animal against the background was it's eye movement, otherwise I'd have swam right past.

I have noticed that even in my tanks the octos give themselves away through motion color change. When they change color I have often wondered if they intend for me to see them (perhaps for feeding but often food does not seem to be the incentive).

Nice octopus and excellent job of camouflage! I watched the entire video. It's always amazing to see what a variety of marine life is found in those cool waters, and how colorful they can be.
