Can a small Octopus and tow small ( 1,5-2inc )triggerfish do well in the same tank ( 55gal )?

or will they one of them eate the otter ?

    my triggerfish is:

    Odonus niger - Rhinecanthus aculeatus

The trigger fish will most likely pick the octopus apart, or the octopus will sense the danger and never come out of its hiding spot.

What Animal Mother said, given the diet of most triggerfish, two in the same tank would be a bad idea.

bad idea, to say so bluntly. keeping them apart is better for both of them, and will save you alot of stress and money.

I'd fear the octopus getting picked apart big time, even if the trigger has a mellower than usual attitude
