Thinking Abdopus aculeatu? Any input would be helpful. Have yet to get it to eat anything. There are small hermit crabs, peppermint shrimp, and emerald crabs in the tank. I've also tried small chunks of clam as well. I've had this octo since Friday and today is the first day it has come out to look around. It pretty much just stays on the glass and won't go near the rocks. Any idea if this normal?

The coloration (which is not a very strong indicator), texturing and proportions work well for aculeatus but a single photo is rarely comfortable for an ID. It would be helpful to know its original habitat.

We do see this behavior with stress, sometimes water related, sometimes age. Carefully check your PH and nitrites.
