(Non-Ceph) New Fish Discovered on BBC

Morphology rather similar to rattails, sans scales, of course. Relatively small eyes, however, more reminiscent of cod... Hmmmm....

Looks like a deep-sea fish. Any ideas on what it might be?

Its an Ateleopodid or jellynose fish. Several (12?) species are found in 300-600m from the Carribean/Atlantic and the Indo-Pacific region.

A distant relative of the oarfishes (Regalecidae) and ribbonfishes (Trachipteridae) but not well known. The skeleton is mostly cartilaginous, but they are true bony fishes.
