I got this beautiful little aculeatus just over a week ago. It's mantle is about and inch (the photo shows him in a critter keeper that is 8 in tall) and I've never had such a young one before. It keeps very late hours for an acutleaus, doesn't come out until about 6 pm and plays out under the red lights until 11 pm or later. Also, he shows a lot more of the "passing cloud" flashing light display than I've ever seen from one of these beauties.
Could the behavior differences be due to his young age? I've really only had senescing adults and hatchlings. At first I thought he was just not keeping "normal hours" because he was still acclimating. After a week free in 55 gal., this seems to be "normal" for him. He only comes out early if I'm cleaning the tank
