Hot off the presses, the NZMSC presents Karunui's Tentacles, a resource book for teachers all about cephs (mainly squid & octis, sorry cuttles). It is designed to link in with the NZ school curricula in science, english, maths and maori, but I'm sure it would be useful for all teachers. It is aimed at primary level (NZ levels 3-7) which are basically years 3-7 (not sure how this translates into grades!). It is NZ $10 plus p & P and can be ordered from marine-studies@otago.ac.nz\ (or www.otago.ac.nz/marinestudies)
It was written by our director, primary educator and yours truely and has input from the great SOS and Kat (but any mistakes are ours not SOS or Kats!) It has flash cards based on paintings by one of our staff with info and activities on the back........plus HEAPS more info throughout!

Here are some pics!

My son has lots of books like this (about spiders though). Way cool. Reminds me of the Zoobooks series...
