New here, need help

Hi,

Yes, I think octos can be more prone to ink at certain points in their lives, if I take Ollie as an example. When she was younger, she tended to hide rather than ink. She was more cautious generally. As she got older and was startled, she inked. (This has happened four times). And she was most skittish and prone to ink in the month before she laid eggs.

Has anyone else made similar observations?

Nancy

i think the most dramatic inking is with cuttlefish who are younger than 2 months. Even grabbing a shrimp to eat can make them ink.
