Need help - ID request

Hi everybody!!

I've been trying to id a species of octopus from Costa Rica. Found in Quepos (Pacific Coast) around 3m to 20m depth. Photos are attached below.

The pictures don't give a lot to go by but the eyes have the vulgaris "look" and I know they can display bright red, at least as juveniles (bottom right). Have a look at these pictures in Penelope's journal. I don't know that we ever fully agreed that this one was O. vulgaris though and I rather suspect Penelope may have been O. burryi, mostly because of the papillae in this picture (bottom).
