methylene blue treated food?

not sure if this is the right place but it seems to fit.

i had a hatchling cuttlefish that was over a month old and eating ghost shrimp among other food. a couple of weeks ago, it mysteriously died and (i think) took three smaller hatchlings with it (same tank)

fast forward to today, i found out that the shrimp are transported in water that has been treated with methylene blue, and the pet store also treats the tank with it while they keep them. could this be a possible reason for the mysterious death of the seemingly healthy cuttlefish?

(i tried to search here for methylene blue, but only got tons of blue ring threads)

thanks, i decided to steer clear of that food source from now on, just in case.
