Setting up a tank for a mercatoris - input on mesh size for overflow? Forgive me if this is covered elsewhere - I've kept octos before but never this small of species.

Thanks!

I have not used mesh for overflow blocking but I have successfully kept new hatchlings in a standard breeder net.

One thing I always recommend for O. mercatoris is a selection of giant purple barnacle shells placed about 1/3 of the way up from the bottom of the tank. Of all the homes I have provided for them, this has always been the most popular, 100% selection for females.
