macroalgae

    is it good to have macro algae in a cech tank.

    Well it definitelyy makes your tank look alot nicer and less empty, plus they help in removing nitrates.

    We always do. Provides extra shelter/"toys" for the octi too. We have a large tank so use Macrocystis pyrifera a lot (Giant Kelp for you US folks) but most algaes would do. I'd hesitate to use any thing from the Desmarestia family tho' they contain sulfuric acid .....ouch!!

    where is a good place to get good algae in bulk fo good price as I have a 240 gallon

    I also believe marinebioguy had some he was giving away in the fall, you might want to check with him...
    Had good luck with caulerpa, myself...but it does take some pruning!!!
