This wee chap was collected by our research vessel, R. V. Polaris II. It's probably one if the local midget octis (most likely Octopus huttoni) and thus is an adult.........cute though!:biggrin2:

Yes D we're hoping to do just that, at the moment he's in a holding tank, but we have just bought some reef systems (Red sea, forgot which model.....will check!) but they're running way too warm at the moment (19C, the sea is at 7.5C!!) so we need to get some chillers!
 
Latest! We have some Bobtails (Sepioloidea pacifica and baby red gurnard Chelidonichthys kumu not cephs I know but super cute. They'll develop their red colour and butterfly fins later!

While you are in the throws of shutting down and building up, it would be neat to be able to raise a couple of generations of the bobtails. Gurnards are so cool.
