i had metal halide on the tank originally ( had alot of stony corals). i currently sold them all for a few bucks here there and everywhere. i put a 65watt 50/50 PC fixture on the tank. just curious if he will come out during the day more now that the lighting is 200-300% timmer. it looks fairly dim to me, someout like having floresent lighting due to the type of lid i have. you input would be much appreciated(sp).

thanks Jamie

I don't know - but it would certainly help and make a more pleasant home for your octo now and later.

Some octos are nocturnal. Did you also get moonlights or have some sort of red light or LEDs for night viewing?
