Large dead squid - ID ideas?

    I received this note and the attached photo via email, and got approval to post it here. Any ideas? Not sure yet if we can get a hold of the video that the other guy took. Not a lot to go on here, but any directional info would be good...

    To give you a sense of scale the Salvins albatross has a 2.5m wingspan, with one wing around 55-60cm.

    Well, at face value it looks like what I'd expect a young Taningia danae or Thysanoteuthis rhombus would look like, with my guesswork leaning towards Taningia.
