Over the past few years we've witnessed an increasing number of strandings of the deep water species Todarodes sagittatus on Dutch Wadden island shores. This in itself is something to take notice of, as their perceived "natural" habitat would be hundreds of kilometers North. I am curious whether we are seeing a pattern similar to the US West Coast's Dosidicus "invasion".
