How much do O. rubescens eat?

I have been feeding my three red octo about five days a week. They wiped out dozens of shore crabs, shrimp and hermit crabs during their first week in the tank. How much do they need to eat to thrive? They take mussels from my hand and scarf it down. Tomorrow I am trying raw frozen and thawed shrimp.

I feed my O. rubescens two purple varnish clams a day (Nuttallia obscurata, sometimes sold in stores as savory clams), or about the equivalent. That is about 3-4 purple shore crabs (Hemigrapsus nudus) a day. They are rather voracious octos.
