Going on vacation...

I left mine for a week with a whole bunch of live shrimp. That said, it is still a good idea to have someone check on your tank daily while you are gone. You never know when you might spring a leak, have a power outage or some other tank emergency that only happens when you are out of town. Once I left my 150 gallon tank only to have my friend call and say "why is it making this sound?". The sump was dry and the pump was sucking air - luckily I left a lot of extra sea water for him to add to the sump...
