Flow: High, medium, low?

Hi there. Sorry if the answer is already here somewhere.... I did a search but am still learning my way around the new and improved site (love it, by the way!)

I have a canister filter running in the octo tank which is providing flow but do I want to stick a powerhead in, too? In other words, do octos like to play in flow or would they prefer not to have to fight it?
