Although not a pygmy, Abdopus aculeatus is probably your best bet. Haplochlaena lunulata is also quite active in aquaria during the day.

Not sure if he was asking for that reason, but what tank size would an aculeatus require?

Ummm not really sure this would be a long term project, I was just thinking about it 
. Is length what's important for them so they can move? Or water volume for the mess they make? Because I have limited room to put a tank... Are there any that can fit in a smaller tank than a 55g?
