In response to this video that I shared on Facebook (and was simulcast to Twitter), I got the following question from @halfacow on Twitter:

@cephs do other species of cuttlefish use the rear part of the body like 'legs' for locomotion?

Can anyone comment on this? Thanks in advance!
 
As far as I know not in the same way. Other only other walking cuttles I know of (small ones like bandensis, etc.) use the arms, but I have never seen them use the skin. Very cool when you stop to think about it- the flamboyant cuttlefishes have make-shift limbs they can deploy and hide as needed
