    That colossal squid model is PRETTY IMPRESSIVE, how come this went under our radar?

    Cool, but don't you think the model is a tad bulbous in the mantle area?

    This is how she would look towards the end of her lifecycle, not far off. Steve would insert "blobbety blobbety blobbety" around here, somewhere, no doubt...

    It appears to me they did a 1:1 rendition of Anton van Helden's 3D model, as seen in Te Papa's colossal squid video display.
