could my dwarf octo have eatin my hermits

    dose any1 know if my dwarf octo that i haven't seen in months
    has eatin 12 of my blue legged hermit crabs

    mine has eaten 5 in less than a week.

    dose he eat the shell and all?

    no, they'll "suck" the hermit out and leave the shell somewhere, usually around their "den"

    ok so basically if i find those hermit shells hell probably be pretty close to them?

    mine dropped the empty shells right by his den entrance. so yea, more than likely.

    There's a good chance the middens wil be at the den, but it depends on the octopus- some eat on the run, leaving the shell where they caught and ate the hermit.

    ya thats the issue though i can only see one of my 12 hermit shells the rest are mia

    ... and some do both! If my hummelinckis decided to dine out, they have left their mess where it falls. If they decided to secret their food in their dens, they have push the empties out and left them at the door for the garbage person.
