I am a little bit confused here. Everyone keeps talking about the colossal squid. Is there like only one of them ever caught? And if so, whats the big deal about it? Thanks to anyone who can fill me in on this info. :sun:

Only two complete (relatively!) known specimens, the biggest weighs in at 495 Kg (1091.288 lbs), add to that rotating hooks and a HUGE eye and you've got one pretty interesting critter!

The big deal being further, that this squid species is the world's largest known invertebrate, giving it a special place in the animal kingdom. You can find a lot of information by simply surfing the TONMO threads on the topic,..., we are multitudes
