Pretty vague question, but I would say for a saltwater octopus tank with a lot of live rock, on average i would say x10 per hour. but it really depends on whats in the tank, tank layout, filter system.... my personal 120 gallion tank runs on a 1250 gph pump, and my 40s run 500 gph....all have additional power-heads as well.
