Can anybody ID this guy? Sorry about the crummy photos

    Can anybody id this little guy? They are calling him a dwarf octo. His head is very long but he is doing really well eating and moving!

    From the pic I would go with o.mercatoris.By the way,did you get him from the centerville aquarium?

    Those pics are not really clear enough to even guess accurately.

    Where was the octopus caught? How long is the mantle (head) and How long are the arms? The ratio of arm length to mantle length can be very helpful is IDing these guys.

    Mercatoris might be a good guess if it is from FL, but he seems pretty active for a nocturnal species. Although its hard to tell activity level froma few pics

    My guess is adult merc as well.

    No I got him from Ebay! HE called him a dwarf octopus but I really don't know.
