Just curious if anyone knows the species. We have been playing/ interacting with this octo over several days. Both pics are of same octo...

I have a 99% confidence in saying O. vulgaris. Below is a nice collection Roger Hanlon put together to show some to the different looks O. vulgaris can display. The "spots" look is what had me looking for a leopard name for Margay.
