An old favorite...

    I just finished reading an old favorite short story of mine....
    "the Sea Raiders" by HG Wells...those of you who have not found it yet, do yourselves a large favour, and pick up a copy !
    Gotta love that pulp scifi!

    I read that one many years ago. It was a sort-of precursor to War of the Worlds with octopus like creatures emerging from the deep sea to invade Victorian England. Just a short story, wasn't it?

    ...memory failing here....

    I just re read it again online...that guy was a simply GREAT writer!!!
    Do a search under short stories and the title...
