60 gallon cube ok for O briareus

As far as water volume, 60 with sump works but I am concerned about the cube part. O. briareus' arm span, even in the smaller animals, is close to twice any dimension for that tank. It would not be able to position itself horizontally, swimming even a few inches would be impossible and spread out on the tank wall it would exceed any one side. I believe it would be far to cramped and would continually try to escape.
