      When two H. lunualta males encounter one another, the usual first interaction is for one to mount the other. Once the "mistake" is discovered, the pair break apart and show some aggression towards one another. Usually the large male is dominant and frequently gives this display with the mantle elongated and elevated, the rings blue and filled with brown.
