Highly original interplay of the Primitive and Secular. The image transcends societies inherant accepted norms of norms and confronts us with the Inner Child, like a Bacchanalian Mirror. One cannot help but puzzle over Colins image and question the relationship of oneself and the universe, as the cutting satire depicted is so painfully exposed for the mocking truth it truly is. The cuttlefish is truly symbolic; I see it as the Adonis of Cephalopods, yet as innocent as a wide-eyed child.
